0:00do the acknowledgment that we're not
0:02responsible for any injuries that you
0:04may observe on here. Didn't happen
0:07here inside Joe, right? Uh well, that's
0:11the price you pay for being on city
0:12council.
0:14But we're so glad that the injury that
0:16he sustained didn't keep him away from
0:18doing his just duties. So, with that,
0:21we're uh we've had the invocation and
0:23we've had the pledge and we just like to
0:25recognize all our visitors that are
0:26here. We thank you for taking out of
0:29your schedule to be here because we do
0:31know that it's a definitely a need for
0:33the for the city to be involved in
0:36making city decision both ways. And with
0:39that being said, uh we don't have uh any
0:42comments from the audience or anything.
0:45Right, Miss Misty?
0:47Okay. And so that'll bring us up to item
0:50number
0:50one, approval of our minutes from
0:53regular session March
0:582025. And as a comment on the minutes,
1:02uh, just had a little clarification when
1:04we go through them and whe when we
1:05approve them, the minutes of even though
1:07they may not be verbated, they are the
1:10minutes of what was I mean might be
1:12they're the minutes of what were
1:14actually said whether it was agreed upon
1:17or not. So it's not that you have to
1:19agree with what's in the minutes. The
1:21person that made the statement made the
1:23statement. We're just approving that it
1:25was said. I mean that state that the
1:27minutes were taken and so some of it
1:29might be opinion in the minutes but it
1:32is basically just a repeat of what was
1:35said and recorded.
1:38Okay.
1:40I hope everybody understood that part. I
1:42make a motion we approve the minutes.
1:44I'll second. Okay. It's been moved and
1:46second. All in favor? Motion
1:49carries. Okay. And that brings us to
1:52item No. Yeah. Okay. brings us to item
1:55number two, police department manpower
1:58and criminal incident report for
1:59February 2025.
2:02The mayor council city administrator
2:05police department manpower criminal
2:06activity report for February
2:092025 total of 16 officers worked
2:132576 hours. Responded to 296 calls for
2:17service investigated seven traffic
2:20accidents. Made 45 arrests. Issued 3 180
2:24traffic citations, completed 58 reports,
2:27and responded to 24 alarm calls. 20
2:31calls. Wow. Below that, you'll see
2:33breakdown of our report. I'll entertain
2:35any questions you may have on on that
2:37report. Well, we will make a statement.
2:39We did know that we had a major incident
2:42in the city and we're so grateful that
2:45uh where we were grateful that y'all
2:46were able to handle it because I know
2:48every all of the officers from both all
2:50departments were pretty much there and
2:52we're so grateful that no one was hurt
2:54but it was able to be taken care of and
2:56we do appreciate because of the comments
2:58that you hear from other people was we
3:01wouldn't have taken that kind of action
3:03and taking care of the human lives and
3:05so we do appreciate that where you were
3:07able to make that decision. vision and
3:10it was and no one was able to get
3:12physically hurt. We do appreciate it.
3:14Yes. Something I want to mention on
3:17that Brazil
3:20and Chris. So when dispatchers notified
3:24the officers that there was a man
3:25outside the sheriff's office shooting.
3:26Obviously they started calling for
3:28assistance. Two of our PD guys were the
3:31first on
3:32scene to to encounter him shortly after
3:35that. The fire chief and one of his guys
3:39as well. And if y'all don't know, he's
3:41also a police officer. I think Chris is
3:43too. So, so their help along with the
3:45highway patrol, they were able to get
3:48that situation under control without any
3:50further incident. So, I really
3:52appreciate Chief and his guy for showing
3:54up and helping ours as well. And this is
3:56where you throw your little plug in how
3:58important it is for people to be
4:00crossrained in the city of Crockett so
4:03that they're not police, they're not
4:04only police officers, their fire and
4:07their EMS and all of that. And that's
4:10the trend that you're moving toward. So,
4:12it does work well when you have that in
4:14the city. Thank you. And I wanted to
4:17Okay. I wanted to um thank you, man, for
4:20sending some officers over there to the
4:22little dribblers game Saturday, man.
4:25keeping my kids safe.
4:28Uh, and thank you. Um, just kind of
4:31uh want to ask um and I guess you can
4:35report on that next time. I was kind of
4:36just want to know like the call the
4:38amount of calls we had about do we know
4:41where the majority of the calls are
4:43coming from or what part of the the city
4:47that they're coming from or the talking
4:50about specific numbers. If you're asking
4:53specific numbers, you know, I don't have
4:54that tonight. Okay. We can break that
4:56down. We don't we don't break that down
4:58into specific numbers. Um, as the calls
5:02come in, we just take no matter where
5:03they're at. So, um, there it could be
5:07broken down. It would take some time,
5:09but I don't have that. Okay. I'm just
5:12asking like the areas, not the specific
5:14number. Just what area are we getting
5:17majority of the calls from? Well, that's
5:19that's what I'm saying. We could break
5:20that down. to specific areas. Okay. Um,
5:24that's something that What kind of call?
5:26Every time someone calls in for a call
5:28for service, okay, first thing the
5:30dispatchers do is they ask, "What's
5:33going on?" Okay. And what's your
5:35address? Okay. They plug that
5:36information in and they immediately
5:38dispatch our officers. Um, and those
5:41different times of the year it's going
5:42to rotate. Um, there's no particular
5:45specific area that I can think of right
5:47off the top of my head that demands more
5:50than others. Okay, that's what they come
5:52in all over. So, yeah. Well, that that
5:55was my main question is what what areas
5:57demanded more police uh presence than
6:00others. So, I can get those numbers for
6:03you and show exactly
6:06um where the numbers rank. We can we
6:09could do that by precinct. We could do
6:10it by streets. Um but we could we could
6:13show where the majority of the calls
6:15come from.
6:17Whichever is easiest. Uh it' be be fine
6:19with me. I was just kind of like kind of
6:22trying to figure out what areas um
6:24police is that something you would want
6:26for a yearly report or would you want it
6:28monthly? Uh yearly would be fine. Yeah,
6:31that'd be great.
6:33If you did it by precinct n
6:36probably 75% of your calls are at
6:39Walmart, right?
6:42I say about 80%. 80. Okay. Well, I was
6:44close.
6:47So So I mean that
6:51It reallyies all across the city, but
6:54those numbers could be to be broke down
6:56to show
6:59where the majority of the calls are or
7:01where certain numbers are. It would take
7:03some time for the system doesn't break
7:04it down by precinct.
7:07I mean, but if you did precinct, you're
7:09going to show Walmart is in precinct
7:11such and such, and that's going to be
7:13really high. So, I mean, we do have to
7:16be careful. Do you want do you want
7:19Do you want like theft or do you want
7:22what what do you what kind of cause do
7:24you want? You want mis mis? He has
7:26listed miscellaneous offenses that's on
7:29here miscellaneous. You want theft? What
7:31do you want? He has possession of
7:33marijuana. He has 296 calls listed here.
7:36And what I'm asking is the uh majority
7:40where the majority of the calls are
7:41coming from. It doesn't matter the
7:43place, the location. I just want to know
7:46the area of where they're they're mainly
7:49coming from. So, it's like I guess if I
7:52mean I don't need to know if it's coming
7:53from Walmart or anything like that, but
7:55if if Walmart if it's coming from the
7:58um nursing home or any, you know, in
8:01that area over there, I'd like to know
8:04what what parts of towns uh are we
8:07getting the most calls from. If that's
8:10if I think I think if we break it down,
8:12we'll have to break it down specifically
8:14by precincts just to
8:17show if if that if that's what you're
8:20asking
8:22because I don't I don't think we can
8:27we have to be inclusive of the entire
8:29city down. We're going to have to break
8:31it down all across the board and let let
8:34everybody know that each precinct this
8:36is where the calls come from. We won't
8:38we won't just include one side, but that
8:40that's something we can do. It would
8:41just take some time. Okay. Okay. Just I
8:44mean no no no rush. I mean if you do it
8:46yearly that's that's fine with me. I
8:48just was requesting that. I appreciate
8:51that. All right. Thank you so much.
8:55Appreciate
8:56it. Uh item number three, fire
8:58department monthly activity and status
9:01report for February 2025.
9:04Mayor, council members, administrator
9:07for the month month of February, we had
9:09a total of 35 calls. Breaking that down,
9:1214 of those calls was inside the city
9:15response area and
9:1621 in the county response area. There's
9:20a breakdown of each.
9:27Okay. Um, they were down. It was 21 in
9:32the city and 14 in the county. 21 in the
9:34county, 14 in the city. The weather kind
9:37of hit us last
9:39month. Everything's starting to ramp up
9:41a little bit.
9:44So, total 35
9:52any we're not currently under ban,
9:55right? No. Foria, we have not been
9:58issuing issuing department the last week
10:02of red flag warnings. So I appreciate
10:04the citizens understanding that we don't
10:07want to end up on
10:09TV and stuff like
10:11that. Last week and a half we cut
10:16back to each other.
10:21A lot of wind right now. It is a lot of
10:23wind. Okay. Anybody else have any
10:26questions? Thank you. Thank you. Thank
10:29you chair.
10:34Okay, it brings us up to our business uh
10:38presentation, discussion and accept
10:40acceptance of fiscal year
10:432024 financial audit. Madam
10:49good evening
10:52everyone. Hey [name], can you check the
10:56volume?
10:58For some reason that sound like it's
11:00vibrating or something.
11:03It's on that side.
11:06It's all the way around.
11:08Time it off
11:10again. There we go.
11:13We already
11:15Okay, it better. Better maybe. There we
11:17go. There we go. Okay. So, I have a lot
11:20of uh information for you. Um even
11:22though it says draft on it, we're
11:23sitting at a 99 point about 9% um
11:27completion. So if there are no changes
11:29or questions a after a day or so, they
11:32will be finalized and sent over to uh
11:34the city. So it's just kind of a
11:36formality in case anyone um has any
11:38questions following tonight's
11:40presentation, they can always get with
11:42management and they can send that over
11:43to me and we can get you some some
11:45answers if you don't have it right off
11:47the bat tonight. So, um I will start
11:50with kind of the loose I put a five-year
11:52summary on top of uh your page here and
11:56really we kind of started doing that
11:58this this this past year and we take the
12:01last five audit report years and
12:04summarize a lot of that information into
12:06these this chart here. Um the very top
12:10chart is your general fund. That's kind
12:12of your operating fund for the city. Um
12:15and you can kind of see what has
12:16happened over the last five
12:20years. Some of the significant changes,
12:23um if you're just comparing one year to
12:25the next, um your other sources in 2021,
12:30that's just note proceeds that you took
12:32out a note that year. Um so that was
12:34something that goes what we call below
12:36the line. It's not your normal operating
12:38revenues or expenditures. It comes into
12:40a category called other sources. And the
12:43same thing happened in 2024. That other
12:45source in the current year was the new
12:47debt that you issued um this year. So um
12:51as far as your operating expenses and
12:54revenues, they're pretty comparable each
12:55year. Your change in your fund balance
12:58for the general fund is pretty
13:00comparable except for those two years
13:02where we issued that debt. The way that
13:05governmental fund accounting works is in
13:07the year that you issue debt, it's kind
13:10of considered a revenue in this fund and
13:12then we move it into the liability in
13:14the governmentwide statement and we'll
13:16look at that one um in a minute. But
13:18overall, your annual uh fund balance
13:21compared to your annual expenditures,
13:23that's the last line, that percentage
13:25rate there. For the last five years,
13:26you've averaged about 40% of your um
13:31annual expenditures in your fund
13:32balance. That's a healthy fund balance.
13:34Um that's over, you know, 40% of the
13:37following year. That's how long you
13:39could operate if you received no more
13:41money in the city, right? Um and then if
13:44you compare your cash and investments
13:46line there at the top and you compare
13:48that to your fund balance each year over
13:51the past five years, you've had over
13:53100% of your fund balance in cash. So
13:56you're highly liquidable. The cash is
13:58there um if you need it. and we've had
14:00all sorts of extenduating circumstances
14:02the last few years. So, so that's a very
14:04um healthy fund balance and healthy
14:06general
14:08fund. The second section of chart there
14:12is your water and sewer fund activity
14:14over the past uh five years. Some
14:17significant changes um mostly in your
14:20cash and investments is due to some
14:23money and grant money that has not been
14:24spent. And starting in 2022, you had
14:28about $1.6 um million in grant funds.
14:32You had the SIB loan in 2023. And then
14:37you had some other money in the current
14:39year, the TWWDB. Some of that is not all
14:41expended at one time. And so that kind
14:44of increases your your cash number until
14:46that money is spent. You can kind of see
14:49that in line with your capital assets
14:51increasing over the past five years. Um,
14:53a lot of that is all the projects you've
14:55been working on, your water storage tank
14:57project, um, your industrial park
15:00utility improvements, and then of course
15:02the SIB improvements that you're doing
15:04in the current
15:06year. Overall, your your net position in
15:09the water and sewer fund is just over
15:11the $9.3 million there in the middle of
15:13the page. And you did have a slight
15:15decrease in the current year in your
15:17water and sewer. Um all you all that
15:20really attributed to that is the uh
15:22admin fee that we sent over to the
15:23general fund to kind of support the
15:25general fund which is pretty typical
15:26sometimes in places this size. But that
15:29was the largest uh increase in the
15:31expenses in the current
15:34year. That's kind of the shorter suite
15:36of that sheet. But any questions on
15:38those particular items?
15:42You said what funds had not been
15:43expended as of yet? Uh you said 1.6 6
15:47million and well that was in 2022 there
15:50was 1.6 six million transferred from the
15:52grant fund over into some capital asset
15:54projects that you were working on. And
15:56then um you had some funds in the SIB
15:59loan. I think it was 4 million or so
16:02that haven't been spent in the current
16:03year or as of September 2024. You
16:07probably spent some of them this year.
16:12The larger um book that is here at with
16:16your
16:17information will is our audit report on
16:20page
16:24three. We are issuing an unmodified
16:27opinion which is the highest opinion we
16:29can give. It states that everything in
16:30this book is presented fairly in all
16:32material respects. Um, of course it goes
16:35on to say that management's responsible
16:37for the financial statements and that we
16:39as auditors are
16:42um responsible for issuing an audit
16:45opinion on the financials. Yes, the
16:47thick very thick
16:53book. On page
16:57nine, this is your statement of net
16:59position for the entire city. It
17:02combines the summary pages that we
17:04looked at before and then it just gives
17:07a little more detail um here in those
17:09categories. And that first column there
17:11is where we take the general fund and we
17:14add to it the assets of the city as well
17:17as the debt of the city. So overall in
17:20your governmental activities once you
17:22add in your debt and your assets for the
17:24city your total net position in that
17:27particular um column is just over the
17:29$3.5 million for the
17:32year. You also the last column there
17:35your economic development as of 2024 is
17:38still a component unit of the city. So
17:40their information is also included in
17:42this report and their total net position
17:45at the end of September was just over
17:47800,000 for the
17:52year. Um all of your notes are the same
17:55uh compared to prior year just updated
17:58for current information. Um, if you do
18:00want to review over the next day or so,
18:02page
18:0330, your contingency and subsequent
18:06event note, that one is updated for
18:08current year activity. Um, and I'll let
18:11you read that um, at your leisure. Um,
18:13and you
18:14can email me with any changes if you
18:17would
18:19like. The other draft is the little
18:22small report that is the economic
18:24developments report. Um it is included
18:27since it is part of your uh city as a
18:30component unit. We have that there as
18:32well. It is also getting an unmodified
18:35opinion stating every all the financials
18:38here are presented fairly in all
18:40material
18:41respects. And then the last sheet of
18:43paper is just our standard communication
18:46um letter. If we had any problems,
18:48issues or concerns of the governing
18:50board, we have to report that to you.
18:52Happy to report we had no problems,
18:53issues, or concerns during the audit.
18:55Everything ran smoothly. Um, and happy
18:58to have no issues uh to
19:02discuss. That's kind of the short and
19:04sweet of it. That's why you have some
19:05information to look over, but if you
19:07have any questions, I'll be happy to go
19:10over them.
19:18Okay. Anybody have any questions? Looks
19:21good.
19:23Thank you, [name].
19:25Good job. You're looking good. Well, we
19:28appreciate uh you letting us do your
19:30audit and we appreciate your team. They
19:31do a great job of getting us everything
19:33that we ask for and and it's a it's a
19:35joy to work with them. So, uh but thank
19:37you very much. Thank you. Thank you.
19:38Thank you. Thank you.
19:42Not as scary looking
19:46as Okay.
19:50Um, any other comments on the audit?
19:55Do we have to We need a motion to accept
20:00I make a motion we accept the audit.
20:03Okay. Second. Moved and second. All in
20:08favor? All oppose?
20:16We have
20:17one is he a yes
20:21or no?
20:24So I know we had the we had the minutes
20:26of the day the motion. How you do the
20:28motion? We've had a opportunity to
20:30review all of this. Yes. When we just
20:33received it. Yes. I mean have we had a
20:36opportunity to review all of this? I
20:38mean review it like look through it cuz
20:41she said if she had any if we had any
20:43questions. So, if you're the motion
20:45tonight is to accept it, you still have
20:47an opportunity to review it and send
20:50questions and
20:52um get any further explanation on it. As
20:55far as this this is receiving it. So, if
20:59you're going to if you vote on it, you
21:01you're voting to accept it or to receive
21:03the audit and you have access to review
21:06it. Okay. So, we won't ever review first
21:09and then accept it. We we all just now
21:12received it. I received it today as
21:13well. So, well, that's what I'm asking.
21:15I mean, so I will have to review it and
21:16look over it and if you have questions,
21:18but no changes after we accept it.
21:20Correct. Or no, no, you can make changes
21:22if there's if there's something that's
21:24materially can be presented or found.
21:26Yes, ma'am. Okay. Okay. Okay. So, motion
21:30was on. We had the vote. All in favor
21:32was three and
21:35uh I guess the no was and it was a no
21:41vote. So you already taken a vote. Yeah,
21:42that we just called for Okay. And you uh
21:47you didn't vote, right? We said
21:51basically yes a new statement because I
21:54had actually Yes. reviewed according to
21:57our motion is are you receiving it?
22:00Pass. Are you receiving it? Accepting it
22:02that you do. Are you accepting the Oh,
22:05accepting what she's Yes, ma'am. The
22:07vote is to receive it. But we can make
22:10action. We could, but you said we can
22:12make auditors are the ones that write it
22:13up and approve it and send it to us and
22:15we can receive it or accept Okay. this
22:18document. So if you're making a motion
22:20to approve it and or to receive it,
22:23that's what the vote is for tonight. It
22:24passed. Yes. Three to one. Okay. And
22:29vote is already given. So So you can you
22:32can put me down and abstain then. It's
22:35not a can according to I don't know.
22:38Okay. I know. according to the training
22:40we had. Okay. Well,
22:46we have that covered. Okay. So, uh with
22:49that being
22:50said, it takes us to item number five,
22:54consider an approved fiscal year 2026
22:57budget calendar.
22:59Mayor and council, we're moving into
23:01that season of budget preparation for
23:04our next fiscal year audit that'll start
23:05in October. over the next few months.
23:09Um, this calendar kind of kicks off some
23:11of our timelines that we're wanting to
23:15meet in developing our our budget for
23:18this next year. And so, um, that being
23:23said, this is not necessarily locking
23:25you down to these calendar dates, but
23:27it's requesting that you put these hard
23:30onto your calendar to make make sure
23:31that we all attend. um as department
23:35heads bring in and we have our initial
23:37budget workshop that will really help
23:40council get all on the same page of of
23:42what our city's uh needs and issues are
23:45ongoing and um as we kind of formulate a
23:49consensus about how the budget needs to
23:51look and the tax rates to accompany it
23:53and the the utility rates to accompany
23:55those um those expenses.
23:58Um it's good to have all of
24:01us all on the same page, you know. So
24:04that being said, we do have a calendar
24:07that um it's on the back page. It's on
24:09the back page. Yes, sir. And so if
24:11there's a item number five, if there's
24:14any um issues with some of these,
24:17especially the ones that are
24:18highlighted, there's four council
24:19meetings that are required uh required
24:21by law. Uh well, the second one is not
24:24required. It's only required if we were
24:27not able to get the first one carry
24:29through with with all the uh um work
24:32from the first one. And then August 4th
24:34and August 18th are also um dates that
24:38are required. Um and um we're required
24:42to vote on them on the on the 18th.
24:44That's where we vote on the uh we have
24:45the hearings on both the tax rate and
24:47the budget and we approve the tax rate
24:49and the budget. Yeah. And I would just
24:51like to encourage the council that
24:53that's here that this is where you get
24:55your questions asked. So it's no
24:58surprises at the end. If it's as each
25:01one of those items come up, you'll be
25:03able to dialogue and whatever and get
25:06any detailed questions you're asked so
25:08that when it comes to the final budget,
25:11it shouldn't be any surprises. You've
25:14already projected what you're going to
25:15vote. I mean what areas you're going to
25:17work on and so it's really important
25:20that as the budget workshop goes forward
25:22that's what it's all about to get the
25:25questions out of the way so by the time
25:27we get to the end and you get the when
25:29the tax come in we'll know exactly where
25:32everything is going. It shouldn't have
25:34to open up reopen up detail questions
25:37unless we have to cut back something
25:39because of funding. But any questions
25:42that you have, that's the time to make
25:45sure that you write them on your sheet
25:47of paper, bringing and let them be
25:48explored. It it works really well and it
25:51it's no surprises when you get to the
25:53end of it.
25:56Some of this is a little bit of a moving
25:58target. Um the things that we don't
25:59know, we can't have, you know, u for
26:02instance, the uh property taxes, we
26:04won't have the appraisal, uh the
26:06apprais, you know, the appraised values
26:07or anything. the certified rolls do not
26:09come in until uh towards the end of
26:11July. So, a lot of it we're using
26:14anticipated um you know, appraisals
26:17based on estimates received by the
26:20appraisal district and uh things that we
26:22know about, you know, upcoming uh
26:24construction that we know that took
26:26place and things of that nature. Um
26:29uh sales tax um all of those are a
26:32little bit moving the targets. Um that
26:35being said, we don't foresee
26:38significant. We do have some increases
26:40in in property values, um some new
26:43constructions that's taking place in the
26:44city. Uh we're excited that there's
26:47there's been quite a bit of
26:48construction, a lot more that's taking
26:50place this year that won't go onto the
26:52tax roles until the following year, so
26:55we won't see it right away. But those
26:56are all things that um play into the
27:00things that we can afford and take care
27:01of without um adjusting utility rates or
27:04tax rates.
27:07Um, so that being said, um, you have
27:11your budget calendar with some of the
27:12objectives that we're, uh, we're looking
27:14at. If there's questions on that,
27:17um, over the next few months, myself and
27:20the department heads will be working
27:21together, presenting, putting packets
27:23together of of needs um, and
27:26expenses to correlate with those needs,
27:28and then we'll be bringing them to
27:29council.
27:34Is there any questions either on that
27:36and or on the calendar the the
27:40timeline? Do y'all prefer one one item?
27:43Do y'all
27:45prefer the July 7th council meeting, the
27:48budget workshop? Are y'all okay with a
27:51morning that's a Monday? Are y'all okay
27:53with the morning meeting? that tend
27:55tends to be one of the longer of the
27:57meetings that where all the department
27:58heads and we'll you know we have a break
28:00or two we'll have some breakfast to kind
28:02of keep everybody moving forward but if
28:05we have it in the evening it's kind of
28:07hard it really you kind of
28:11lose lose we'll have that morning
28:13meeting and then we'll have a meeting
28:15that evening so um y'all can as well let
28:19me know do y'all want we can include
28:21both meetings at that meet uh at the
28:24morning meeting and not, you know, and
28:25just take unless there's something else
28:27that comes up that is unforeseen. Um, we
28:31can include both of them in the same
28:32council and you don't have a morning and
28:34an evening meeting. What would y'all
28:36like? Uh, just one. Knock it out that
28:39morning. Knock it out. Okay, we can do
28:42that, too. Cuz it's going to take half
28:44the Okay. All right. So, anyone else has
28:48any comments
28:50on projected
28:54budget calendar.
28:58I mean, those, you know, all the dates
29:00look good to me. I mean, you know,
29:03I mean, I just using those dates and if
29:05y'all can put them in your calendar,
29:06y'all can put them on y'all's phone.
29:08Yeah. And that way with with
29:11me, it looks good right now. Yeah. And
29:14that's until we get to that date. We
29:16know. That's the best thing I could ask
29:18is put them in your phone. That way if
29:20something else comes up that just is as
29:22is a no you can't budge then give me as
29:26much heads up so I can uh adjust. Okay.
29:29So I can adjust so let me know if
29:32something changes and we appreciate the
29:34projector. Yes we're ready for a motion.
29:38Okay. Well we have to make a motion for
29:41you to discuss.
29:43Make that motion. That's what she said.
29:48I make a motion we approve the fiscal
29:50year 2026 budget calendar. Yes.
29:56Now we're ready. We can discuss. Oh. Uh
29:59only thing I'm I'm just uh I'm not
30:01trying to discuss anything but just
30:03trying to put forth I see you have
30:04street water and sewer. Yes ma'am. Okay.
30:08Do we have anything in place for light
30:10bulbs? Yes sir. And lighting.
30:13So that's a budgeted line, okay, that we
30:17we contract with Encore for street
30:18lights, okay? And so if there's an
30:22adjust if there's a significant
30:24adjustment, then that would have to be
30:26something that we would have to work
30:27into the budget. If it's just adding one
30:30or two, removing one or two, then that
30:32can be done within right
30:35now, then I'm kind of jumping ahead, but
30:38you know, right now our our goals in
30:41street lights and our contract with
30:42Encore is to cover all
30:44intersections. And if there's a long
30:47distance between those intersections, we
30:48have intermittent but no specific
30:50requirements that that we have so many
30:53light, you know, feet apart.
30:56Um, as long as intersections are
31:00covered, if there's lights that are gone
31:02out have that need to be replaced,
31:04they're already under contract and we
31:06can replace those at no cost. You know,
31:08we're we're already actually paying for
31:10them. If there's a physical light head
31:11there and it's not working, we're paying
31:13for it, okay? Whether it works or not.
31:15So, those are things that we can
31:16discuss. Okay. one and um in in
31:18reference to not just light poles but
31:21polls in general because we have a lot
31:23of polls that are leading and that need
31:25replacing. So we're we're working right
31:28now and that shouldn't impact us
31:31anything on the budget but um the prime
31:34the most of most of the utility poles
31:37that we see leaning around town are
31:40windstream poles and so they're
31:43abandoned by Encore. Encore has already
31:45replaced their poles, moved their
31:47services over, their utilities over, and
31:50there's two or three black cables
31:52hanging from these other poles, and
31:54these are windstream poles. And uh we do
31:57have significant um problems. U we we
32:02have probably about 40 of a list of 35
32:0540 of them right now that we've turned
32:07in and they're not replacing, but
32:09they're not d I mean they're not a
32:11danger. Okay. I'm also just the ones
32:13like on 19 that are leaning towards
32:16those business businesses and think when
32:18you drive down 19 you'll see them. It's
32:20Windstream. Yeah, Windstream. So, yes,
32:22ma'am. They've already been turned in.
32:23Okay. But that that's not a budget or
32:26Yeah, it's more of an enforcement and
32:29kind of an oversight issue with
32:31Windstream. Okay. Well, I second that
32:33motion. We got a second. It was It's
32:36been moved. Now, we're ready for the
32:38vote. All in favor?
32:40Okay. Motion
32:41carries. All right. And can we get a
32:44motion to motion to adjurnn? Okay.
32:47Nobody's going to fight that
32:51one.
32:52[Music]
32:54Okay. The easiest thing I done all day
32:57today. Lord, it's been one of those
32:59days. A couple. It's been a busy day.
33:04[Music]
33:06Have a good evening. You too.
33:11million change
33:17order. They don't even want to do that
33:20one. They going to do it all the way
33:23to widen.
33:26They widen.
33:32I don't think that
33:44there Yeah.
